One of the ways of life continuation of the myths is their modification into tale or story, especially vulgar tales. One of such stories is “Gol & NoWrouz” of “Khajooy-e-Kermani” in which one can notice the ancient myths and legends. In this paper, the mythical deep structure of this story has been scrutinized based on familiarization (social acquaintance) rituals and symbols. The authors of this paper assume that one can notice the traces of familiarization ceremonies and rituals in the deep structure of these stories. According to this pre-assumption and by analyzing the contents of these types of stories, adjustability of these stories with familiarization ceremonies has been proved. One can notice most of the elements and ceremony phases of familiarization such as isolation, separation, death, rebirth, enlightenment on the tree foot and hard tests (torture) of the knowledgeable old person (guide) in these stories In addition to these, there are other symbolic elements and ancient patterns which are connected with the main theme (familiarization) and they have been analyzed accordingly

Narrative love poems constitute a part of Persian classical literary texts, and they are divided into three areas of epic, lyrical, and mystical literature. One of the common features of these works is the extensive presence of the and mythological archetypes and elements in them which could be described, evaluated, and discussed using mythological criticism. In this paper some of the poems of the collection of One Hundred Persian Narrative Love Poems are discussed using the comparative mythological approach of Max Muller regarding the structure and character interaction. Reading the poems in the light of this approach allows us to determine why the protagonists journey lasts one year, to what purpose the orient and the occident are mentioned (China and Roman Empire), the reason behind the presence of a guide, witches and seducing women, horoscopic names, fictional characters and the manifold adventures of the protagonist of the poems. . .

Time is one of the mental concerns of human beings. There are difference views toward time in difference historical, epical, mythological ages. The study of epical works can clarify these approaches toward time which contain mythological, epical, historical and philosophical view. Since time and space collocate in Shahname, in this study the reason of this collocation and the structure of time are investigated. There are four kinds of time in Shahname: astronomical, mythological, philosophical and historical. The Story of Lion and Cow in Kelile and Demne has a lot of literary beauties; applying different literary criticisms and various meaningful readings in the context of this story, one can determine the aesthetic factors and their effects on the readers. One the most efficient literary criticism in this regard is the mythical criticism. This study tries to analyze the Story of Lion and Cow in Kelile and Demne based on the Theory of Jung regarding Archetypes and Symbols, and its integration with the Northrop Fry Theory about the mitoses forming a literary work. To do this, after explaining the theoretical framework and method of this study, the symbols and archetypes of different parts of this story would be analyzed applying mythical analysis; then their relations with mitoses forming that part would be expressed. The mythical trips of the world have special structures that differentiate it with other kinds of the trips. The structure of those trips have different practical modes. The characters and transportation vehicles are two important practical factors, which help the realization of the trips with their magical power. There are many trips in shahname, which match the structure of universal mythical trips and some trips, which do not match them. This article aims at comparing the stories of shahname up to the end of Alexander’s story with the other mythical stories. The similarities and differences of these stories have analyzed.

Myths as primitive human insight about human and world are usually reflected in culture and literature of the nations in transformational way. Marzban book is one of the texts that myths and legends can be traced in them. In this article, mythical themes of the story of Shahriyar Babel with Shahriyarzadeh in Marzban book have been investigated. It is assumed that this story depicts rituals and ceremonies of initiation. Therefore, content analysis of the story proved conformity of this story with initiation ceremony so that all elements and steps of initiation including solitude, separation, taking trainees to the hunting ground, hardship (torture), climbing up the tree and etc are seen. Of course, there are symbolic and archetypical elements in the text related to the main content (initiation) and these elements have been analyzed accordingly.

اسطورۀ خودمرکزی از مباحثِ جهانشمول است که در اساطیر ایران هم نمونههای آن به وضوح قابل مشاهده است. بر اساسِ این عقیدۀ اسطورهای، همۀ اقوام تلاش میکنند خود و داشتههای خود را نخستین، بزرگترین، بالاترین، بهترین، و ... معرفی کنند و تمام داشتههای دیگران را در ردههای پایینتر از آنِ خود جای دهند. به عبارت دیگر خود را اصل و دیگران را فرع، و یا خود را مرکز و دیگران را حاشیه قلمداد کنند. در این مقاله، ابتدا به 17 مورد از نمونههایِ این اعتقاد اسطورهای در اساطیر و ادبیاتِ ایران اشاره شده است. مثلاً آنان سرزمینِ اولیۀ خود «ایرانویج» را از نخستین و بهترین سرزمینها میدانند که نخستین انسانها در آن به وجود آمدهاند؛ «البرز» کوهِ اساطیریِ خود را کوهی میدانند که گرداگرد زمین را فراگرفته و تا فلکِ خورشید کشیده شده است، و ... . در بخش دوم، به سرچشمهها و پیامدهای حاصل از این اسطوره اشاره شده است. به نظر میآید این اسطوره از عواملی مانند کمالگرایی (نهایتاندیشی)، باورهایِ دینی، ملکوتی بودنِ انسان، نمادسازی، خودبزرگبینی، تجارب گذشته و عادتها، جهانبینیِ محدود، خودِ آگاه و ناآگاه، گشایشِ عقدههای حقارت، رازِ تنازعِ بقا، و اصلِ جاذبۀ عمومی سرچشمه میگیرد؛ و واقعی پنداشتنِ چیزهای غیرواقعی، قهرمانسازی، توتمسازی، محدودیت حق انتخاب، سالاریت (رئیسسالاری، پدر یا مادرسالاری، ...)، افزایش خوی استکباری، حماسهسازی، قومسازی، و مواردی مانند این از آثارِ آن است.
