Fereydun Tavallaly is one of the first modernist poets after Nima, who was able to take the position of a poet with style and take charge of leading a poetic flow. The trend that Tavallaly was the leader of was developed under the influence of Nima yoshij's "Legend" poem, and it is a type of lyrical poetry with romantic elements, which was noticed and followed by a range of contemporary poets after Tavallaly. In addition to lyrical and romantic characteristics, Tavallaly's poetry also has a tragic ability. This was the result of Tavallaly's tragic mentality and partly the result of his desire for black romanticism; Because there are relationships between the components of romanticism, especially black romanticism and tragedy. In this research, by using the descriptive-analytical method, while dealing with the links between Tavallaly's poetry and tragedy, the dimensions of tragic mentality and how some elements of tragedy are presented in Tavallaly's poetry have been examined and analyzed. The results of the research show that aspects of Tavallaly's poetry are mixed with tragic aspects; because he has placed himself in the position of a tragic hero; A hero who, in the context of love relationships, is in the position of a desperate and failed human being, and out of inevitability, he surrendered and accepted defeat against the inevitable circumstances.
