The existence of the sometimes complex terms could face researchers with problems in understanding the exact meanings of different works of Persian literature; since due to lack of accurate information on how they work, it does not seem easy for a modern audience of poetry and prose to understand these terms. In the meantime, lexicographers’ report does not resolve any problems due to incomplete information and sometimes due to confusing information in this regard. <br />The game of Backgammon is one of these kinds of terms. Using the inductive method and precise readout, the present research intends to study great works of poetry and mysticism to analyze the complexities and subtleties of this game. Research results show that except for Ibn Yamin and Khaghani fewer poets had mastered this game. Moreover, the frequency of these terms is used for rare and new purposes. با تحقیق در متون کهن، به برخی از اطلاعات و اصطلاحات تازه­ای دست می­یابیم که ما را با ابعاد مختلف زندگی گذشتگان آشنا می­سازد. وجود این اصطلاحاتِ بعضاً غامض، پژوهندگان متون فارسی را در درک دقیق آثار مختلف، با مشکلاتی مواجه می­کند؛ چرا که درک این اصطلاحات برای مخاطب امروزیِ شعر و نثر، به جهت نبودِ اطلاعاتِ دقیق از چند و چون و کیفیت آن­ها، چندان آسان به نظر نمی­رسد. در این بین، گزارش فرهنگ­نویسان نیز به سبب اطلاعات ناقص و در برخی مواقع مغشوش در این زمینه، چندان گرهی نمی­گشاید. از جمله این اصطلحات، مربوط به بازی نرد است. نوشتۀ حاضر بر آن است تا با استفاده از روش استقرایی و با بازخوانی دقیق آثار بزرگان شعر و عرفان، به تحلیل روش درست این بازی و پیچیدگی­ها و ظرایف آن بپردازد. حاصل پژوهش نشان می­دهد که غیر از ابن یمین و خاقانی کمتر شاعری است که به این بازی تسلط داشته است.  نیز بسامد این اصطلاحات در این متون اغلب برای اغراض بدیعی است. https://perlit.tabrizu.ac.ir/article_6650_b6945e2d7eb57a229b823f2d55440aa8.pdf
